I'm a Jolie fan. I've always been fascinated with how she portrays her characters, whether it be in a drama (Changeling) or in a bad ass film (Mr and Mrs Smith). She didn't fail me in Salt. I like how I was attached to the innocence of her character from the beginning to the sudden shift to a completely different her. With that shift, it still leaves you the impression that although you're seeing her differently, she still somehow carries an emotional hint of fragility.

The plot isn't bad as well. I mean, it's not perfect; you can't really say it's not predictable, but there is still a puzzle to it that would entertain you.

My only complaint about this film is how some events turn too convenient for the protagonist. I know she's supposed to be all well-trained to withstand everything, but in most situations, no matter how tricky it may be, I kinda always expected her to come out of it. I guess it lacked more of the oops-that-wasn't-part-of-the-plan ingredient.

Bottom line: Good popcorn movie.
